Wow where did the week go? Mac or PC anyone?

Ok, so this week is just gone. Topic of the Day or Question MAC or PC? I am sitting here violating just about every business conduct policy by using my work computer for home stuff. However, in my weak defense, I am having home computer problems. Let me explain...

I have a 12 year old son, who comes home for several hours each day after school. He is commonly accompanied by 3 of his close personal, and a little bit older friends. Well, I made the mistake of leaving myself logged onto my business computer. At which point these guys proceeded to look at websites of overweight people having sex !!!! And teacher's with LARGE breasts. Now, every computer that is hooked to my very elaborate, and very open network is contracting the worst case of Internet aids that I have seen. One by one they are dying. The only working computer in the house, until last night was his (imagine that), because I had set the parental controls. These controls were over rode and wah lah....... the hits just keep coming. I did manage to view in the history some of the wonderfully done, but overexposed web pages, and took great pride in leaving one open every time I left the room. The "Oh NO, how did that come up" comments under his breath were hysterical..... However the computer refreshes that are necessary are just a bore. So does anyone know if having a Mac would eliminate the problem. Or should I just ban computer surfing all together. Furthermore, is it normal for a group of 12-14 year old boys to be so obsessed with naked, overweight individuals in thongs?

Cambridge Who's Who

Well Hello Again:

I was honored with a phone call from the Cambridge Who's Who for professional women this morning. I was asked certain questions about my background as an Applications Chemist working with new product development. While I was really quite thankful that someone would honor me, I was a bit concerned about how they knew so much about me. I am sure that they have the graduation list from the University that I attended, or some other form of bio that was given as an alumni. I was recently nominated for a company wide award for customer focus and innovation, so who knows where they found me. However, beware, they were asking for $789 for a platinum membership with a differed $199 per year(?) for each new copy of the registry. When I baulked at the price, she said that I could have a 5 year membership for $589 which is only gold and the same differed $199 per year(?) for the new copy. I asked if I could call her back. I am, after all, a single mother of 2 working 2 full time jobs. I own a patch manufacturing company on the side. This is to pick up the slack from the lack of child support. I explained this to her, and she still was insistent that she would call back, and that this membership would bring me "in contact" with a network of individuals that could help my career reach it's next level. When she calls back, I am going to ask her how much of a raise I can expect, and when it will arrive. What is scary is that it was a "YOU MUST DO THIS NOW" or you won't be included thing. Being single with 2 kids, what group can I really be included in? Who is she trying to kid? Unless this is a certified list of top notch babysitters, I am not interested.

Sunday Morning

Good Morning:

Topic of the day..... How many hours of sleep did you get? Most people enjoy staying up/out late on a Saturday night. Not at my house. With my two year old being sick with a stuffy nose - we have not slept in days. Funny, I used to pray that I would win the lottery or that I would meet my knight in shining armor. Well, all that has changed, I have found that over the past week, I have lowered my prayer requests to 1 hour of uninterrupted sleep. Thank the Lord that this prayer has finally been answered.

The First of Many Posts

Hello All:

This is my first post on my first blog, so please forgive me if this is not the way that this is done. Let me introduce myself to you. My name is Georgia, and I am a single mother of two children. They are 12yrs old and 2yrs old. I work an overdemanding job, and own a side business to make sure that my life is devoid of anything that looks like downtime. In the past 39 years, I have come across some wonderful, sad and amazingly profound things. I would like to share somethings that I have learned with you. Understand that some of the things that I have to say may not be well received, if not, then move on. So, let us get started !!!!
